Dr. Tucker is delighted to welcome you to Magnolia Way Veterinary Services! She dreamed of a veterinary practice that could offer high quality, accessible veterinary medicine to the pets in her rural community but also allow for her and her staff to spend more time with their families. The commitment of MWVS is lasting relationships between family and community.
A native of Tishomingo County, Dr. Tucker has degrees in biological sciences and history from MSU. She graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine as a Giles Scholar (top 6% of the veterinary class) and Phi Zeta Honor Society inductee from Mississippi State University in 2015. She has practiced as a mixed animal veterinarian for 10 years and as a shelter veterinarian at the Corinth-Alcorn Animal Shelter for 2 years before opening MWVS. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association, and is a student mentor of the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Council. Locally, she is a member of the Burnsville Chamber of Commerce, Tishomingo County Junior Auxiliary, and Tishomingo County Cattleman’s Association. Her professional interests include community outreach, shelter medicine, internal medicine, and theriogenology; but, her favorite part of her job is meeting people and building last relationships with them.
Dr. Tucker shares her life with her husband Billy and her two sons Wendell and Hewitt. They live on a small farm with a herd of beef cattle, 5 horses, 4 dogs, 2 cats, and 1 mini pig! She finds pleasure in making memories with her family horseback riding, going to the lake, traveling, and cheering for the MSU Bulldogs.
